Chandigarh’s hip-hop scene is gaining serious momentum. While names like Sikander Kahlon, GD47, and Bagi Munda have already left their mark, a fresh wave of artists is pushing the sound forward — hungry, talented, and ready for a bigger stage.

In this article, I’m spotlighting four emerging artists from Chandigarh you need on your radar — along with standout tracks you should check out.

1) Poetic (Tarun Rautela)

Poetic, a rapper-producer from Nayagaon, is one of my current favourites from the Chandigarh scene.

A former member of the crew Badflow, he’s been flying solo since early this year — and with his EP Sajjan, he’s truly stepped into his own.

If he keeps pushing the quality and staying consistent, he’ll break out far beyond Chandigarh.

His distinct style — shaped by his skills as a producer — gives him a sharp ear for the beats and flows that best match his writing.

Standout Tracks:

  • Neck to Neck (from 32 Bit Wavs)
  • Sunn Sab Kuch (from Sajjan)
  • Last Call (from 32 Bit Wavs)

2) The Ranjha (Vikram Chauhan)

The Ranjha’s story plays out like a movie. While performing at the Lehar Movement — a cypher series rooted in Chandigarh — he dropped a freestyle that changed everything.

That moment became Muqabala, a viral track that led to a deal with Mass Appeal India and unlocked a wave of new opportunities.

Even with only a handful of releases, his music already shows off incredible range and versatility.

If he keeps going at this pace, The Ranjha is headed for big things.

Standout Tracks:

  • Jealousy
  • Nightmare
  • Toxic

3) Double A (Aayush Jasrotia)

Double A is a rapper-producer with serious potential — and his 2024 album proves just how far he’s come.

He’s part of High Ethics, a crew featuring talents like Guri Smra and Rajat Birla, each adding their own flavor to the scene.

Double A’s music blends introspection with clean production, showing a maturity that’s rare at this stage.

His recent collab EP with Guri, Some Bridges Must Be Burned, reinforces his ability to craft mood and message with ease.

Originally from Jammu, Double A has built his sound steadily in Chandigarh — staying focused, avoiding the noise, and creating music that resonates.

Standout Tracks:

  • Cortizol (from Cold Outside)
  • Cold Outside (from Cold Outside)
  • Jaan Meri (from Some Bridges Must Be Burned)

4) JBmostwanted

JBmostwanted is a rising voice from the Mohali-Chandigarh circuit, and he’s already making waves.

I first heard him on Zilla Mohali — a gritty, confident project that blends street realism with melodic hooks and sharp delivery. There’s rawness in his voice, but also flashes of versatility that hint at real growth potential.

Whether going solo or collaborating with artists like The Ranjha or G Mag, JB brings an energy that cuts through.

Standout Tracks:

  • No Gxng (from Zilla Mohali)
  • Yaadan Teriyan ft. G Mag
  • What You Want !! ft. The Ranjha (from Zilla Mohali)

Chandigarh’s hip-hop scene is bubbling — and these four artists are leading the next wave.

Each one brings something different: Poetic’s producer-rapper precision, The Ranjha’s cinematic rise, Double A’s introspective craftsmanship, and JBmostwanted’s unfiltered energy.

Whether you’re into bars, mood, melody, or message — there’s something here for every kind of hip-hop listener.

If you’ve been sleeping on Chandigarh, now’s the time to tune in.
