This article highlights the 10 best Indian hip-hop tracks released in May and June 2025. To keep things diverse, we’ve included only one song per artist—with the sole exception of K!llswitch, who appears both as a featured artist on Vichaar’s track and with his own release.
Whether you’re discovering new talent or revisiting artists you already love, this isn’t just a rap song list. It’s a celebration of Indian hip-hop at its boldest and most creative.
1) Doorbeen – Mark Bhatia, Navyug
Mark Bhatia is undoubtedly one of the most distinctive writers in the scene. His lyrics have an unusual depth, and Doorbeen is no exception.
What makes this track stand out, beyond the sharp rhyme schemes and introspective writing—is how effortlessly it retains the essence of a groovy, replayable song.
Even though it’s layered and thoughtful, you can still vibe to it on the first listen. As you revisit it, you’ll keep uncovering new nuances in both the writing and delivery.
June has been a strong month for Mark, he also dropped another gem—Ghar with Navyug and SarpDansh. If you haven’t heard it yet, make sure you check it out.
We hope Mark Bhatia gets the recognition he deserves—he’s consistently releasing some of the most compelling work in Indian hip-hop, whether through his collaborative project Real Name with A.Roy, his 2022 project Kavi On Drugs, or countless singles along the way.
2) Gustakhi – SickLot, Parv Music, Badshah, Starboibeatz
This has to be one of the most unexpected collaborations of the year.
We already knew SickLot and Parv were headed for greatness, but seeing a Badshah feature arrive so early in their journey was a welcome surprise.
What makes this track extra special is how effortlessly SickLot and Parv hold their own. At no point does Badshah overpower them—both deliver top-notch writing and confident performances that match the moment.
But the real unsung hero here is Starboi, whose beat is so irresistibly groovy you can’t help but bop along. It’s the kind of production that elevates everyone on the record.
Shoutout to Badshah for not treating this as just another collaboration—he shows up with genuine energy, making Gustakhi truly loop-worthy.
And trust us: the Agyakaari Boys are going much further in the scene.
Both SickLot and Parv are phenomenal solo artists, but when they come together, it’s pure magic. If you haven’t explored their work yet, start with their mixtape Agyakaari, especially the title track—it’s the perfect showcase of their chemistry.
3) Masoom – Farhan Khan, Mujtaba Aziz Naza, Mr. Doss
If there’s been one Desi hip-hop project we’ve been eagerly anticipating since last year, it’s Farhan Khan’s album Alif Laila (Part 1).
After releasing Alif Laila (Part 2)—one of the most impressive albums in recent memory, remarkable for its storytelling, visuals, and rollout—our expectations were sky-high. Luckily, judging by this first track, Farhan has not disappointed.
Something has shifted in Khan Saab since his 2024 single Rudali.
His writing and the way he approaches each release feel almost effortless yet completely deliberate. He’s evolved into one of the finest composers in the scene, and his artistic vision seems to grow sharper with every project.
Our founder once had the chance to hear Farhan share his thoughts on the creative process off the record, and even then, it was clear he has a vision unlike anyone else in the scene.
We can’t wait to see what Khan Saab does next—he is, in every sense, an artist at his purest.
4) Don’t Reckon – Young Aytee, Eyepatch
Young Aytee is crafting some of the freshest, waviest music in the scene right now, and we’re all for artists who bring something different.
He first caught our attention—like he did for many—when he dropped his first 2025 song titled 2025 Flow.
After that, we started exploring his discography and quickly realized he’s been delivering bangers for years.
Just before 2025 Flow, he released Stick with Me with Aman Mehra, another great example of the unique sound he’s been developing. This year has already been strong for Aytee, especially with his partnership with Mass Appeal India.
Indian hip hop has only truly started taking off in the past few years, and artists like Young Aytee are pushing it to the next level with this new wave energy.
Give Don’t Reckon a spin—and while you’re at it, dig into the rest of his catalog
5) Mehraru – Hardbone Boy, Hyke
Mehraru dives into the complexities that relationships often carry.
Hardbone and Hyke complement each other’s writing beautifully, but what makes the track even more special is how naturally their vocals blend.
The production—by Sinash, Deo, and Tronk—feels crisp and layered, elevating the storytelling and pulling you in deeper.
Hardbone has been on our radar since he released his debut concept album Deepak is Dead. In a scene where conceptual projects often get overlooked, he keeps proving that thoughtful music still matters.
If you enjoy unique, experimental sounds, check out Hardbone’s EP with Sinash, Parinaam. It shows just how far he’s willing to push boundaries.
6) Jatt Baija – Agsy, Trap Guru, Sxncha
Agsy has long stood out as one of the best femcees in India, but this track feels like her strongest work yet.
She may have delivered sharper verses elsewhere, but the way Jatt Baija comes together—from composition and production to visuals—makes it unforgettable.
Even though it’s built around self-bragging, something common in Desi hip-hop, it still feels fresh and distinctive. Part of that comes from the energy she brings as a female MC—it feels more like a statement than just another flex anthem.
Trap Guru and Sxncha deserve major credit for crafting a beat that’s both hard-hitting and addictive.
This is an all-out Punjabi anthem with one of Agsy’s catchiest hooks, and her second verse radiates undeniable swagger.
You can’t miss this one—and trust us, it’ll be hard to stay seated while listening, no matter how many times Agsy tells the Jatt to baija.
7) Blaze It Up – K!llswitch, Akki On The Mic
June was a standout month for K!llswitch. He’s always been an artist we take seriously, but Blaze It Up shows him leveling up.
He didn’t just drop a banger—it’s the story behind the song and the mindset shift he shared in his YouTube documentary that makes it so exciting. You can feel the hunger and renewed focus in every bar.
The track has an instantly catchy hook, and the writing from both K!llswitch and Akki On The Mic is top-tier. Their flows and delivery never miss a step.
This was our first time hearing Akki, and we’ll definitely keep an eye on what he does next—he shows serious promise.
We’re looking forward to seeing where this energy takes K!llswitch in the months ahead.
8) Buss Down – Kr$na, Raftaar, Phenom
Kr$na dropped his highly anticipated mixtape Yours Truly in May, and it absolutely delivered. It’s easily the strongest project he’s released so far.
While it’s not an album, it still tells a cohesive story through the VOTP skits. Among all the standout tracks, Buss Down impressed us the most. Raftaar shows up with a guest verse that’s nothing short of fire.
This track has some of the project’s tightest composition and replay value. As always, Phenom’s production hits the mark.
We especially love when Kr$na steps into this sound—and let’s not overlook how consistently he writes such memorable hooks.
If you haven’t yet, dive into Yours Truly. Buss Down is just one reason why it’s essential listening.
9) Paycheck – vichaar, Siyaahi, K!llswitch
vichaar dropped his EP VVVV on the last day of June—and what a release it turned out to be. This is an all-out hip-hop banger, packed with four tracks that showcase his range as both rapper and producer.
He handled all the production himself, and it’s top notch—especially the clarity of the vocals. While That Shit Hard features a killer verse from Prathmesh, Paycheck stood out as the highlight.
It has the best hook and beat on the EP, plus sharp verses from K!llswitch and Siyaahi. Siyaahi sounds like he set out to devour the beat—his flow is pure fire from start to finish.
If you haven’t heard VVVV yet, start with Paycheck and see why it earned a spot on this list.
10) Pahiye – Panther, Akshay The One
In May, Panther dropped Dhoom V, an EP with five standout tracks. For us, Pahiye rose to the top thanks to its writing and how strongly it resonated here at Desi.
Panther is easily one of the best writers in the scene right now, and his versatility stands as his biggest strength. He moves between styles and genres effortlessly.
He keeps releasing excellent projects, and one that deserves more attention is last year’s Chahat. If you only know Panther for his hard-hitting bars, you’ll be surprised by how well he handles romantic songs.
We also appreciate how he represents kids from India’s tier 2 and 3 cities. He’s easily one of the finest artists in Indian hip-hop today.
If you’re new to his work, start with Jungle and Animals Within and end with Dhoom V—you’ll see the incredible trajectory of a truly versatile artist.
These songs don’t just reflect where Indian hip-hop is—they hint at where it’s headed next. Keep them on repeat, and let us know what you’ve been vibing to these past two months.
